I‘m looking at this addon, I would like to know how works with xf 2.2 and how it’s works with TH theme ? Also you planning to commit and support this addon long term ?

Yes for sure.
With regard to xF2, I haven't tested it yet but I believe it will work in xF2.2 as it's only through a widget or it's own page.
