Support No Answer RM Marketplace Set Up

I'm not a Xenforo newbie, but no expert either, but for the first time I absolutely cannot figure out how to configure this add on. I have successfully (I think) followed the steps to configure the PayPal API Credentials retrieval, but for the life of me cannot get anything going with the rest of the addon. The lack of a configuration how-to doesn't help and is quite surprising to be honest.

So here is my Admin CP set up. What am I doing wrong?! Thanks in advance.

Hi,

From the screenshot, I see you disabled marketplace for the category.
So it will obviously not work.

Depending on how you want it to behave, ie. users being able to sell or only global admin, you would change the setting.
Tell me more about your use case and I'll guide you.

Thanks for the quick response. I have managed to get this far now... but for some reason, I cannot find an option to upload the resource (file) and am getting an error message.

Here is where I currently am:

Hi,

This is because you selected Service only as the allowed type of authorized product types.

Ah ok... I was confused between Service and Digital Products as we are selling tickets.

Everything is configured and now there is another issue. The resource is located here - http://ouddict.com/resources/advance-tickets.2/

1. It appears that the ticket can be downloaded for free
2. There is an option to "Pay for a Resource" which leads to a blank page displaying the following message:

This page isn’t working
ouddict.com is currently unable to handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500

To be honest, it's very frustrating that there is no manual on how to configure RM Marketplace. It's configuration might appear easy to those more familiar with Xenforo, but it is not trivial for admins like myself who are not experts. I have installed and configured many add-ons and dabbled in amendments to files such as the config.php, so RM Marketplace should not be this challenging, but it is proving to be so. Is there a manual for this add on?

I've logged in as a normal user and now I see a button to purchase tickets - very different view from the Resource Owner. Clicking on the button brings up the "Accept Terms and Conditions" window, but clicking on it to purchase brings a blank page.

OK.... I am making progress. I did not rename the PPConfiguration.php.txt to PPConfiguration.php

Now there is a new issue... but I believe it is with PayPal. I set up my API Credentials using a Standard Account a couple of weeks back, but can no longer access the classic view and therefore locked out of the Seller Tools section to check. On the newer PayPal view, the tools are only available on the Business Account, so am redoing the API Credentials... but, the RM Marketplace instructions are out of date and do not match what I see on PayPal. There is no Add/Edit API Permissions option, let alone request API Credentials and API Signature...

Done... and I get this message.

- Error
We couldn't initialize the communication with Paypal, please contact our staff.

I have the same PayPal email for both % on sale and sale... but what email should I use?? I noticed you wrote the following in another thread, so I am guessing its the repeat email thats causing the issue.

The only reason for this is a misconfiguration of the API, or the same email used both for percentage on sale and sale or the account not supporting the selected money.

https://www.xen-factory.com/index.p...nitialize-the-communication-with-paypal.2441/

What should I be putting in for the addresses? It is simple things like this that are causing me an immense amount of frustration. Surely Xen-Factory should have a simple configuration guide to clarify these areas?

No we do not have a detailed guide, documentation takes lots of time and we didn't took it yet.

If you intend to use percentage on sale, it means you are going to let users sell so you have to select in the category:
"Let users ask for payment on a per item basis"

Still not working and I still get the message:

To clarify, we do not intend to let users sell in this particular category I am trying to configure. Only the forum management will be listing tickets for sale for an event. This is the current configuration:

In that case, put 0 in the percentage on sale.
And set it to use forum wide payment information.

Hum that's surprising, would it be possible to get an ftp access along with a user account that has rights to buy that resource ?

Yes mate I couldn't agree more, this is very confusing and even worse....No Manual of videos...it's a "fend for yourself" plugin

Well there is manual here that detail clearly how to configure the payment platform:

Apart from that the configuration is fairly easy as long as you know your way around xF which we believe you are as an admin.

MtoR,
My most humblest apologies, I found the manual, and was set up within minutes.
