That's is very complicated to implement inside the marketplace and the way the add-on is tweaked into the RM.

I am not sure this is something I am going to consider in a xF1 version but this is something I may reconsider for xF2.
 
Admins will not switch to XF2 very soon. it will take a while till XF2 is released and then it will take a year at least till everything is stable. So it is not fair to stop developing for XF1.5
 
Didn't say I will stop developing.

I meant I won't develop such huge functionalities.

Adding a shopping cart is equivalent to rewrite of the code.

This is not implemented, cart with marketplace are somewhat of an issue unless the site owner retrieves payment and then pay back to sellers.

If I understood you right, so can we do this option only for the site owner only
if I have to ask for custom development to do this I will be grateful to pay for it

What I meant is, there are two possibilities.

If you are using the addon as a shop where you are the only seller and use the same payment method for all then yes a cart could be implemented.

If there are multiple sellers then it’s a different story as the buyer needs to pay each seller, unless the site owner gets the payments and then send back to the sellers on a regular basis (manually like on my forum sales addon).
 
We would really love to have the shopping cart functionality on our site, so bumping this idea. The necessity to require single payee is understandable.
 
Our issue (we're 100% digital products) is that we have one seller with ~8 products, and people like to buy 4, 5, 6, or all 8 at the same time. Buying them each individually is a pain. I'd be happy to fund any sort of solution.

One idea is a cart system, where products are grouped by seller

Clement's Product B - $80
Clement's Product C - $30
Buy Now - $260
Omar's Product A - $15Buy Now - $15
Frybread's Product A - $5
Frybread's Product B - $9,000		Buy Now - $9,005
