I already use parallel payment for the percentage on sales.
I was not planning on supporting it for the seller as it doesn't seem to me like an often needed feature, moreover it adds lots of fees while it would seem easier for users to manage between themselves the money afterwards no ?

I did not apply for parallel payments, and I'm getting user not allowed errors. Is that possibly why? The instructions show checkout and parallel payments as separate options now.(my account is also brand new, not sure about verified yet)

Regarding splitting costs, chain payments might be better. How much work would it be to enable that? Its kind of an affiliate type thing. Create post, 70% to address 1, 30% to address 2. Address 1 is the primary recipient, for example. It won't be used as often but I'd like the functionality. If I had to pay for that to be done, how much and how long? Thanks

Not sure you understood me.
If in the add-on you set percentage on sales, then it's always using parallel payments as this is how the payments are done.

User not allowed errors might be because your account is not verified or because you input two times the same email address.

Regarding the request, would that mean you still would like the percentage on sale stuff on top of that ?
Ie. chained and then sent to both addresses ?

I think the account wasn't fully verified. I now have a hold on my account which I'll need to figure out.

Regarding the request, I think chained payments can do three recipients. The primary recipient, who gets the most, say 90% and the affiliate who gets 7% and the board who gets 3% or something like this?

What do you think? A parallel payment wouldn't be necessary in this case i don't think.

I dont have an issue, just curious if you'd be able to implement chained payments as a way to split the payment between two recipients and a board fee.

Adaptive payments are due to be obsolete so not suer it's the best solution.
Will think about it by looking at the doc and come back to you.

I do remember seeing they are deprecated. Will the restful api or whatever they are switching to allow payment splitting or chain payments etc?

Ok well do you intend on updating the add-on to use this new method and would splitting the payment between the board and a seller and an affiliate be possible?

I have to do that for the RM Marketplace so I may change also the payment method for Forum sales.
And regarding this specific feature request, I'll see if others are interested as this is very very specific.

Would the seller input both addresses or is this a real affiliate thing you were looking for ?

Not a real affiliate thing, just able to be used as one. So yes seller would have the choice to revenue share a percentage to a second recipient. Having this second recipient and the board being invisible to the buyer would be optimal in my opinion. So if this were a chained payment the initiating seller would be considered the primary recipient. Then it would branch off to the secondary recipient(the so called affiliate) and the board percentage.

If there is not enough support please quote me on the custom work. Thank you very much for your prompt replies.

Okay cool. Also, is there some way to mark an item as sold? The 'contact seller' for alternative payments doesn't have any other integration other than starting a PM with a preset title? I would think there should be a way to mark it sold somehow?

EDIT: Okay, I found a way through the "Edit Thread" option, but isn't that limited to moderators/admins?

One error I am having, is when I click Buy Now, it sends me to the paypal home. If I click back on the browser, it will display the check out page as it should appear, any idea?

Here is the sale thread:

Not sure what you meant ?
When you visit the link I sent, and click "Buy Now", does it take you to paypal home page or does it give you option to purchase?

When I click on this, it forwards me to paypal home. No option to buy anything. But If I click 'Back' on the web browser, it displays the price and checkout options.
