Just to report back I have had no issue with using this on XF 2.1 yet.
I have investigated the feasibility for users submitting rather than admin input.
I was able to get a code running that lets me find out pending match for a given participant in single elimination.
However for double elimination and single elimination with consolation that's far more complicated and I have no documentation on the js script I use so it's all reverse engineering...
I was considering adding it in the next release but now that I think at it that's a lot of work compared to my current earning of tournaments.
So I'll leave the bit of code I already did and will see further later if I do implement it depending on the sales.

Very disappointing really. What about your current license owners and those who put the idea forward? I know there is more than me. I appreciate that time is money but various suggestions have been put forward to make the addon far better but very few implemented. Again thats your prerogative but to get sales people need to see a resource improving. Tournaments is a niche and you offer something here no on else does. I would hazard a guess that if you were to take this further people would switch from their current software. I know I did but like I say im disappointed feature implementation has come to a stand still.
I didn't say I won't be implementing new features, just that this one is very very complex to implement using the js display script.
I never said you wouldn't. What I did say is that a lot of good suggestions have been put forward both on here and XF forums and very little has changed since the XF 1.x version.

Hi, I found that on XF 2.0 and XF 2.1 is the same problem. I have turned on option to alert all users about tournament and when I am creating tournament it loading very long. Without this option it works better. My forum has 8k+ user accounts. Do you have any idea how to fix this?

Dec 30th 2018 it was reported and March 29th 2019 it was solved. You cant blame me for questioning this as this resource was one of the main reasons why I switched from vB and im a paying customer. Personally I see no future for this mod outside of what is offered out of the box because it doesnt make you much money. You were going to implement the change until you changed your mind and decided money was a factor. I have the email saying you was going to make the change.

It may feel odd for you but it will show those who have purchased this that development is still on going. Adding it to Single elimination and Round Robin would be a huge start.
I have spent already few hours on this, I achieved doing it for single elimination but for round robin I had spoken too fast.
Had mostly handle it but the last step to handle the save is not possible with the js group framework I use.
This is not what I expected to reach so I am bit annoyed, that would need full rewrite of all the js code.
I may envision to recode the round robin handling to allow that as this is not that complicated but not in the upcoming version.
