They do have, check on user permission. How much mb user can upload on personal photo album. Looks like @MtoR did not took this into consideration.
xf2.1 . Check user group permission on media gallery. You will find it.
Check on XFMG upload quotas .
Yes, but my Users can have only images on own photo albums. And this addon does depend from that quota which makes my users to complain.
That’s not an option. As they have 100mb to upload on own photo album and that’s all. I don’t want to make it unlimited. Raising the quota is not an option either, the developer need to edit the addon or remove quota limit from the motm albums.
Raising the quota means they will waste the space to upload the images into the personal photo album , not to the MOTM events. When for motm albums they can upload max 1 image, which I’m ok. Your requirements and parameters probably are different From my forum.
Thats could be a deal , unfortunately this will take ages. And I think @MtoR can fix this within days as he mentioned already.
Addon does work as intended , but some improvements and fixes needed.

I just made it up lol. I am saying that's what you want. 
I could see this useful for admins that do not allow certain groups to upload to the gallery at all, and this lets them enter photo contests. You could give them access to upload but 0mb in storage and they could still enter photo contests with the bypass setting. Anyway, you have an edge case here, so good luck with your suggestion.

I just checked, there isn’t any bypass permission.
